I am Theresa Nearhoof, a dedicated student at The Pennsylvania State University pursuing a major in Rehabilitation and Human Services, along with a minor in Addiction and Recovery. As a pre–occupational therapy student, I am deeply committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care and supporting individuals in achieving their fullest potential.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Resident Aide- Juniper Village at Brookline
- I provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric adults with a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities and health conditions. My responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities as well as monitoring vital signs and performing specialized medical care to ensure each individual’s comfort, dignity, and well-being.
Physical Therapy Aide - JAG Physical Therapy
- As a physical therapy aide, I assisted in the clinical management of patients by preparing treatment areas and maintaining a sterile, organized environment. I monitored patients during therapeutic exercise sessions to ensure form and safety, and supported the application of modalities including heat packs and electrical stimulation under the direction of licensed physical therapists to promote optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
